We are excited to welcome Christopher Thorpe, Ph.D, CFA, to the MITH Cash team as our Chief Architecture Advisor.
Dr. Thorpe is a computer scientist and entrepreneur whose academic research focused on the intersection of cryptography and finance. His contributions include provably correct secrecy-preserving auctions, time-lapse cryptography, and the invention of the cryptographic securities exchange in 2007. He is also a chartered financial analyst (CFA), one of the most respected credentials in finance.
“After meeting the team and community, I’m excited to bring my experience to the MITH Cash ecosystem. I’ll be advising on improvements to the current algorithm and tuning trading mechanisms and incentives to drive long term, sustainable growth in the ecosystem,” Dr. Thorpe said.
In addition to his respected academic work, Dr. Thorpe was an early CEO of Philo, a major streaming TV service, where he was recognized by Fast Company as leading one of the 50 Most Innovative companies worldwide. He was also a founding team member at Blueleaf, Solano Labs, and Provable Labs, and an early investor and advisor at Plastiq and Locu. Dr. Thorpe received his A.B, S.M., and Ph.D in Computer Science from Harvard University.
